Football

When the situation calls for it, I cherry pick a football card here and there. This is a showcase of that collection.

→ Ryan Leaf.

Yes, we’ve heard it all – the worst draft bust in NFL history. Please, give the guy a break. He’s human just like the rest of us. Leaf’s battled a lot of demons and has turned into a very respectable person. Leaf started the Focus Intensity Foundation, which raises money for scholarships for people who can’t afford mental health treatment. I PC Ryan Leaf not only because I admire him but because it allows me to learn about what was produced in the football card market during the excellent block of years of 1998-2002. The collection is a work in progress and there’s only a limited number of items I’m actively pursuing but here’s what it looks like so far. With regard to composition, I focus almost exclusively on the boutique, high end, and ultra elusive.

In addition to any 1/1s, I’m pursuing the following cards. Any help is appreciated.

  • 1998 Metal Universe #193 Precious Metal Gems /50
  • 1998 SkyBox Thunder #238 Super Rave /25
  • 1998 Topps Gold Label #95 Class 3 Red /25
  • 1998 Ultra #202P and #386P Platinum Medallion /66
  • 1999 Metal Universe #193 Precious Metal Gems /50
